Coding for Treasure was founded by an entrepreneurial mom with a background in technology and education. With two young kids, she was eager to inspire them to be creators, not just passive consumers of technology.
Having realized that kids need more guidance than most parents have time for to learn tech skills, and they need a community to inspire them – to become inventors, makers and creators. Coding for Treasure was created to meet this need.
Nirosha has advised a variety of tech companies, from start-ups to large public companies. She is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. She has served on the Board of Trustees at the Ingenium Schools.
Her two daughters, inspired her to start Coding for Treasure – a place to sustain and nurture their budding interest in science and technology in an engaging and fun way! She is happy to report that robots now regularly appear at her daughters’ dress up time, alongside fancy princesses.
